Chloe’s Canning Club

A seat at the table. A jar on the shelf.

The scent of simmering berries and the rhythmic pop of sealing lids can create a certain kind of magic in the kitchen. It’s seasonality and locality being captured, and it’s most fun to preserve alongside friends.

If you’d like to learn how to preserve, join Chloe’s Canning Club, a community for the modern preservationist. Years of reporting on the food system and climate change led Chloe to explore preservation at home, and in 2025 she became a Master Food Preserver certified by Cornell Cooperative Extension. These workshops are meant for anyone — whether you’ve been canning, drying and fermenting for years or you’ve never peeled a peach.

We aren’t just preserving food. We’re building food security, honoring tradition, and slowing down in an out-of-control world.
